UNTOUCHABLE DJ Feature of the Week: DJ Caoz

Born and raised in an era and city where Hip Hop was at its best, DJ Caoz would start his career at the mere age of thirteen. He began djing local social events in his home town, The Bronx. They ranged from church events to weddings. Eager and curious as to where his talent would take him he continued locally for the next five years. At the age of eighteen DJ Caoz was given his first big break to DJ at a club. His musical style and skill made him very popular. From this point on he was offered various bookings in clubs throughout the Bronx such as: Riddlers, Chazz Lounge and Crimson Lounge.

Inspired by DJ Jazzy Jeff, the late Jam Master Jay, Funkmaster Flex, Kid Capri, Grandmaster Flash and Grand Wizard Theodore, DJ Caoz had faith that his talent would take him further than just the Bronx. DJ Caoz began making connections with other DJs as well as promoters and soon was DJing in the Tri State area as well as in Florida (Roxy’s and JJ Whispers). The diversity of the crowds allowed DJ Caoz to prove that his skill went far beyond the expectations of others. He was a resident DJ at the famous Copa Cabana. He was booked regularly at Babalu’s, Villa Lounge, Studio 8, Webster Hall, Tonic, Mamosa Lounge, Mi Gente Cafe, Don Coqui and Salud.

In 2010 DJ Caoz worked along side Hot 97‘s DJ Bobby Trends as his open up DJ for Club Promenade, Imperial, Taj, NY Perks, Venus, and Tabu. During this time DJ Caoz began exploring a new medium by doing guest appearances on various internet radio shows. In an effort to communicate with listeners and viewers worldwide DJ Caoz launched his own website on March, 2011 entitled www.DJCAOZ.com. His website enables one to download weekly mixes from his podcast, view video footage of DJ Caoz mixing at various venues, view fliers of upcoming events, and scroll through his latest photos.
